Default Suggetions Please

Gents,

Im getting a strange noise (I know noise problems are hard to diagnose on a forum) but I get it when turning right but not left

First of all I thought it was because the PAS fluid was down a bit and air was getting in the system but on refill Im still getting it.

Some pointers on what to check would be great, its been on a ramp on full lock and its not fowling anything on full lock..

A few more details, please.

Can you describe the noise at all? Grind, growl, clunk? Does it occur with the car rolling or only when stationary...or?

Cheers
D

Any indication of where the sound is coming from?
Does it sound like it's coming from one side or the other, front end or rear end?
Is it when the car is on full lock only or do you get it when the steering wheel is only turned slightly?
Is the noise constant like a e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e or does it have a beat like ee ---ee---ee---ee---ee. Also, if the latter, does the speed of the noise increase with car speed?
Is your mother-in-law in the back wanting to go left?

Doug/ Stevie,

Well its a strange one this...

Started off getting it when i turned full lock to the right, on checking it was blamed on the PAS fluid then that got sorted and I started getting it when turning left, then it came intermittently when going over bump, my mechanic who I use for some jobs checked the car out today and he advises its the handbrake pads so it will be a job for him not me, any way I'll keep you posted and thanks
