Supercharger oil change

Supercharger oil change
Hello everyone.
I recently read some stories from XJR owners about changing oil in supercharger.
I know it's a easy DIY job and I'm only thinking, is this recommended to do if nothing is wrong with the supercharger?
I mean, I understand oil is getting tired over a period of time but it was supposedly last for life, according to Jag manufacturers.
Mine is 90k miles, works ok I think, sound ok, performs good I think. Shall I change it then? I'd like to make it work better but as they say if "it's not broken don't try to fix it".
Any comments will be apreaciated.
Thank you very much and regards to all.

I'd suggest you change it even if for peace of mind, but do your homework on where to get the correct oil. In UK at least, I don't know any suppliers of the oil off the top of my head and I've heard of at least one oil supplier recommending the wrong oil. Ask your local Jaguar or Land Rover dealer what oil they put in their superchargers. You don't need much but it's expensive and is often sold by the gallon. I got mine (maybe 250ml for around £30???) from a SC rebuilding shop which I don't think is operational now.

Thank you very much for the advise. I found some stuff on eBay, one kit contains BP turbine oil, the other is the Eaton oil that everyone recommends here on forums.
And since this is fairly easy job to do I think I will have a go and change it. As you guys saying, new oil wont hurt. Once I do it I will post it herr how it all went and how it feels.
Thanks again.

Part # changed
Since both GM and Ford having been using Eaton superchargers for years there are some choices. I use GM #12345982 which is a mere fraction the cost of the Jaguar-labeled stuff. Don't know the Ford part number.....and not sure about UK availability of either.
