Default Switch Panel Bezel LNA6318AA

My radio/switch panel bezel has self destructed. The bottom portion holding the radio is intact, but everything above that has fallen into many bits. :-(
I am having a difficult time finding one. Does anybody have one for sale or any good ideas about making your own?

I have lots of interior trim and may be of help. If you can explain exactly what you need, maybe a picture, I'll see if I have it. If I do it's yours with my compliments.

I just noticed the part number and googled it and came up with the attached. Mine is part number LNA 6290 DA but if its any good to you, you're welcome to it. Just send me an address and I'll put it in the post to you.

Even though that is the previous years panel (not 95-97), I wonder if it would work> Does anyone know for certain if I can use my units on this panel?
I would like to be sure it isn't a waste of your effort first.

THANK YOU!
Here is my style:

I think the only difference is that mine has extra buttons, for heated seats and adjustable headlamps. It came off a Sovereign. Otherwise it has everything on it that yours has, but like most of them, the clock display was a bit hit and miss. I never got around to doing the "card insert fix".PS. It came off a 97 model. Maybe things differ slightly here in Europe?

I am betting it is the same bezel where it counts. Thanks again! I will certainly let you know when it gets here and post before / after pics.
I am slowly building up some other jag bits, and will be sure to "pass it on" when I can in your honor.

It appears my center console was LNA-6290-AA and your bezel arrived intact (THANKS!) and is now installed (YEAH!).
I believe the part numbers coincide with the types of equipment for the switch panels installed into the bezel, so any LNA-6290-xx will work. The number I mentioned (LNA6318AA) is specifically for the bezel without any switch panels installed.

I glued the one break in your bezel and reinforced all other stress locations. Hopefully it will last a good while. For the solid engineering these Jags have, this bezel is amazingly fragile.

Glad you got sorted and that I could be of help. I think that the fragility you mention is caused by the heat that can build up behind the ski slope. It seems to make the plastic components more brittle.
Anyway, happy motoring!

I have 3 x300's they all have rotting plastic syndrom. It affects under the ski slope and also around the glove box. I have found several over the years on ebay and replaced them only to have them fall apart shortly there after. 23 year old plastic. So I have since gone a different direction. I have some clear flexible plastic from an old purchase of a screw driver set. it's pretty thick and stiff. Had to cut it with a razer to get the screw drivers out. I used a scissors to cut it to shape and then scratched it up with a dremmel and a razer blade so the epoxy would stick. Then epoxied the broken pieces of the plastic bezzel to the new plastic backing.
They have been in all three of my jag's now for nearly 2 years and are functioning great!!! So.. save all the little plastic pieces and put the puzzle back together with epoxy and back it with new plastic.

Or have someone with access to a good 3D scanner and printer create some new and improved versions for us all!

Hi all,
Does anyone have a lead on where to get one of these panel bezels? I like the idea of reinforcing them but mine is in so many pieces. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,

I have a client who has this generation XJ and wanted a lasting solution. I had the bezel 3D scanned and made a reproduction using carbon fiber reinforced nylon.

His turned out absolutely perfect so I am offering them for sale here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285440564554

Sorry for the spam but this seems to be like the only solution for this issue
