Default Throttle body "Re and Re"

In working on my throttle body, I'm at the stage of reinstalling on to the engine and I started to strip the four bolts very slightly.I guess I'll have to "clean" them up a bit...

Any recommendations? Are the bolts metric? What size are the threads? Tap and die or thread restorer?

Thanks,,,

tap and die kits are fantastic.
if you jump on google you will easy be able to find out how to measure your thread.
something bout the length of the bolt/stud and the number of threads will give you the thread size,
and the bolt size is measurable via diameter of the bolt..

not sure at all what size these bolts and threads are and would hate to give you the wrong info

Most hardware stores with a good individual bolt selection in the bins have a mandrel to thread into to find the bolt thread size

They should be metric

You can take a selection of nuts to thread on to also determine the size of the threads

You will have to do several nuts to ensure what you have in hand is the size on the label as they can be mixed

If the original holes " may " have a helicoil insert you can replace the insert

Otherwise you can install a new helicoil installation with a kit

There is a torque setting on page 10 of the doc below

Throttle body to intake manifold 21.5 to 28.5 Nm

190 - 252 inch pounds
