Question Throttle body TPS part same or different for NA and SC (XJR)?

Just curious, does anyone know if the throttle position sensor (TPS) potentiometer on the normally aspirated XJ6 throttle body is the same part number for the TPS on the XJR throttle body?

I have another XJR throttle body, but no TPS on it. So if the TPS is the same part, that makes my search a little easier as the pool of used units is a bit wider.

Some quick searching seems to indicate they are the same part JLM 12074 , but wanted to confirm.

I have a spare XJR throttle body with all the fixings. The TPS appears to be the same part between the XJR and XJ6. And the sensor also says Ford on it, so I wonder what other vehicles used the sensor.

I've wondered the same, if the TPS may be shared with some other Ford application and be much cheaper as a "Ford" part, versus the ~$400-450 for the Jaguar part.

Years ago there were posts about the part being common to some obscure European Ford like a Scorpio or something like that. No results were noted from trying the Ford connection, but with the Ford part #, you might give a try.

See this thread discussing the TPS and recalibration after TPS replacement. The thread mentions a cheaper Ford TPS halfway down the first page but I don't know how successful this was. Maybe worth a try as it is a fraction of the Jaguar price for what is after all a very simple component.

From the photos on RockAuto it looks the same as the TPS on a 95 Ford Scorpio 2.9. No idea if it's the same electrically.
