Exclamation Trapped in Jag!

Out of nowhere today the interior driver door handle wouldn't open the door! The exterior handle still functions as it should. I took off the wood panel and discovered the cable from the handle to the door release has come apart.

Does anybody know any fixes? or off hand anywhere I can purchase one of these cables?

I've checked eBay and they are all for the wrong doors.

I've attached some pictures of my broken cable.

Thanks!

PS: I guess I should have cleaned the areas in the pictures lol

naw you good.
as long as I'm trapped in there with my girl I'm good

but! if not, you will need,

either,
a crimp tool, & a rather strong cable crimp type substance,
or
a welder
or
a new cable.

hit up motorcars LTD or call up coventry west, or if you're like me and got lucky and claimed a jag at the local boneyard, (homeboy at the yard calls it 'pancho's jag' sitting out there) hit that up & ****** the cable.

binder clips = fail

creativity is essential in this fix if you dont end up sourcing a new cable.

nut&bolt humdinger could even be a possible fix if you're good.
I've had a few of those on a 98 318ti I used to have, but nothing so far on my jag children

Should be the same as the XJ8 (X308 model), and probably the late year XJ40s. I would not think this part is expensive, it is the finding of it that is the problem.

I've heard of some owners going to a bicycle shop and finding a cable that works <shrug>

Cheers
