Undercoating and sunroof issues
Well, she passed her MOT today (third attempt - first failed on
tyre and brake line, and when they were fixing brake line
messed up fuel line so second fail on that), so I'm road legal
for another year
If I get the weather and the energy, considering doing the
underside and arches and wells (one corner and underside at a
time) - power wash, scrub, power wash again, probably power
wash and scrub again, then spray with FE123 (sprayed on) and
then brush on two coats of dinitrol - will be right pain in
neck as will have to do on stands as no lift available
Any thoughts on this approach?
Also, sunroof is knackered and leaking - pondering just
disconnecting electrics and sealing with black mastic. It has
leaked as long as I've had the car (the drains seem impossible
to clear) and gave up ghost last year (decided to develop life
of its own) so manually closed but now SLCM thinks it is open
so remote doesn't work to lock car - central locking light on
on console (remotes seem to work otherwise with headlight flash
etc but locking no) so thinking SLCM thinks sunroof still open
- anyone any hints? Or thoughts on sealing sunroof? Sunroof
motor runs constantly until battery disconnected if I
accidentally hit central locking button on dash!
Cheers

Do a search on "sunroof", especially a recent "sunroof woes" and that thread has links to the TSB/instructions on re-synchronizing your sunroof module with the sunroof position.
I suspect your locking problem will clear once you reset the module so that it correctly detects that the sunroof is closed.
