Default Vehicle build date?

I hope I am in the right section. The car is a '95 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas. It needs both front inner tie rods, and apparently the design changed mid year. The cut off date is like July something. Anyway, where can I find out the build date? It is not right on a sticker on the door jamb like most cars. Thanks in advance.

If you order parts from Jaguar they don't care about build date. The parts catalogue is based on VIN.

The JEPC will have 'TO VIN XXXXXX' and 'FROM VIN XXXXXX' (always LAST 6 of the VIN)
Sometimes an ENGINE number is needed to get parts for engine related components.

There might be 2 different steering rack manufacturers for your MY (like ADWEST or ZF????) or SPORT SUSPENSION or SUPERCHARGED????

Adding to what Bob said.

My X300, RHD Australian spec, has the build date tag in the boot (trunk if you must), just forward of the battery.

Mine is 12/95, which is a 96MY.
