Default waterfall veneer

I promise, I searched the archives, but what wood is the waterfall veneer in my 95 x300??

I'm thinking of a new head unit this winter, and might have to build a new waterfall to accommodate a double DIN unit. So, I might need new veneer.

Thanks!

It's a walnut burl wood. I believe you can contact the factory (or rather someone on here can tell you) to find out what stain they used on the wood.

I did some research into this subject when I did the woodwork on my son's MG Magnette. The "Walnut Burl" is not what we Americans think of as walnut. The European Walnut species have the color we find in our cars which is generally much lighter than the American Black Walnut that most Americans are used to.
