Can someone tell me what this part is circled in red. Noticed some white stuff on it that I don't remember being there before. Recently had my AC charged and wondering if it is a result of that? If not any thoughts what would cause it?

What is this part and what is the white stuff?

 

Secondary engine coolant hoses for the electric circulating pump cabin heat system

The cabin heat pulls hot coolant off the engine block rear cylinder sleeve for instant heat

Looks like a check valve / disconnect that was upgraded on the V - 8 ( X308 )

The white powder might be phosphates from leaking coolant

Phosphate deposits in the clogging heater core / matrix and upgrading to a different type of coolant was a subject of a TSB
