OK, you are new, so first thing is welcome. Please do your intro in the "New members area" when time permits.

Secondly, WHAT CAR WE GOT HERE. Obviously a Jaguar?????, but my days of mind reading ceased when my teenagers grew up.

Give us some help to help you.

Welcome to the forum Harrydao,

From the information you completed when registering with the forum, I think you have a 1995 XJ6 like this?

will not start-x300.jpg

Please confirm this and I will move your post to the right tech section to get answers from members with the same model.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.

In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Graham

Got your Visitor Message.

I've added the details to your post and moved the thread from General Tech Help to X300 forum. Members here with the same model as you have will be able to help.

He meant "does it read about 200rpm when cranking?" because it should if it's getting a signal from the crank sensor.

Harry,

Got your PM and replied with some ideas.

Not sure if you got it, as me and IT are NOT the best of mates.
