Default Windshield Washer Tank

Any recommendations or help finding a replacement windshield washer tank/reservoir?

Also, instructions on removal/replacement would be great if they exist somewhere.

Supply from the usual parts guys, I use XK Unlimited among some others. NOT cheap, but thats life.

I removed the front bumper bar, I dont have an undertray, so that is a 10 minute job, and then the bottle is staring you in the face.

It is possible to remove it from under the car (car jacked up high), but that is a real juggle, and locating those 3 bolts that are not able to be seen is a challenge, and the brake cooling duct is in the way also.

Default Don't know if I need a new tank but......

I don't know if I need a new tank or or not but when I hit my wash lever it juat as a rule does nothing. However it does take spells where it "spits" (kind of like a man peeing who has prostate problems) on my windshield. I don't know if I have a bad pump or if something is clogging my tank, hoses, or nozzle. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Poor boy, I reckon you got a blocked hose or the jet/s are clogged with polish.

The tank basically only holds the fluid, and if it does that it is OK. The pump/s are plugged into the rear face of the tank, and if you stand near the car and press the button you should hear them, NO that wont work, your LHD, and the tank is on the RH side, get a mate to stand by the RHF wheel and bribe him with alcohol to listen for you, if the pump/s "whirr", they are good.

Mine had the hose under the plastic scuttle below the windscreen kinked. Probably a result of windscreen replacement??.

If the nozzles are blocked, a piece of thin wire will clean them, such as a bristle from a wire brush??.

None of it is rocket science, just follow the logic steps, pumps whirr, hose blocked, nozzles blocked, thats about it.

Default hoses blocked?

Thanks Grant! I know just the drunkard (oops, I mean friend) to ask too. The only thing is I think I'll give him the alcohol AFTER I let him touch the Jag!

I was involved in a accident about a few months back, and purchased one off autopartswarehouse.com for like a little over 100 bucks with free shipping. I was quoted atleast 125 or more from other jaguar sources and dealers.

Just put the alcohol in the washer tank and tell him or yourself that the only permitted way to consume it is from the nozzle. Then start finding the blockage to get the reward.
