Default X300 door trim mould removal

Has anyone removed the external door mould plastic trim from the outside of the doors on an x300? If so, have you any pictures?
I found an article that said they are glued on and wd40 softened the glue. However, there were no pictures. This is my first post and I’m new here. Thanks.

It is held on with a foam tape. I have not done it myself, but I have seen emblems and mouldings removed by cutting the tape with dental floss, sort of like a cheese cutter wire. Fishing line would probably work too. Then the remaining glue and foam can be removed with a 3M Stripe Off removal wheel. Those work really well.

I’ve just watched a YouTube video on 3M Stripe Off removal wheel. They look amazing. Just looked at the price online and they’re expensive. £30 plus £10 postage and import tax from USA. 😳

I'm sure if you went to a detailler or a body shop supplier you could find them in the UK.
