Thumbs up I'm headed back to Tijuana!

I'm driving my X330 (XJ6L) 1160 miles to Tijuana on Monday, May 17th. (I'll head back the morning of the 25th) It will be a great drive in the new-to-me Jaguar. Good food, good friends, good times!

You must "detour" along the Pacific Coast Highway for some of the trip. Windows and sunroof open, listening to the music of the Jaguar AJ16, transmission in Sport mode....

I've not been on the PCH, but I've seen pictures. Looks like a bucket list item.

That would be nice, but I haven't the time, nor the financial resources to make the detour.

When I can, I do the PCH between Malibu and Point Mugu, its a much nicer alternative to the freeway.
Although the stretch between San Simeon and Carmel, going through Big Sur is an awesome drive.
Just thinking about it makes me want to do it again.

Dammit, kids! I need to "cannonball" the drive in my X330 and you keep insisting on throwing up distracting roadblocks. While I would dearly love to drive the coastline, I must insist on taking the Interstate. I know it like I know the back of my hand. (Veiny and with increasing age spots). I have to make the drive in about 25 hours (With a nice 3-5 hour nap at the Oceanside Rest Area (Milepost 61). After I have recovered, I take in breakfast when I get to Tijuana. The Denny's at San Ysidro, CA is far more expensive than Tijuana, MX so "south of the border para el Desayuno" it is.

You should also avoid Topanga Canyon and Vasquez Rocks, they will add a few more hours to your trip
