I am not going to pull any punches. Just going to say one thing. GO FOR IT. You will never regret it. My 95 XJ6 (X300) is the most enjoyable car I have ever owned. And that counts the 2000 XK8 conv. It is great for different reasons. I swap off on the cars as I leave one in my airplane hangar and drive the other one. But when it is the XJ6 time to drive I just love it. I always take the long way home. It has 128K miles on it and the way I drive it I'm sure they will bury me in it. I still get compliments on it in the super market parking lots. So what are you waiting for. Go for it.

 

For me the only problem is really getting some parts as they are very expensive and hard to find and even some impossible (wishbones for ie)

I'm aware of your concern, but don't fully agree. The suspension on my X300 has been completely replaced recently and parts were very easy to find. All wishbones, ball joints, springs, shocks and almost all bushings were easy to find and purchase. Price was normal (compared to some new cars, they were cheap). I could not find the MNA3711AA and the MNA2850AB, but I think these were the only exceptions and if I would have searched more, I believe I would have found.
