I do love how neat installing like that is.
I thought of that myself but didn't do it.
I kept mine as a lighter just because I want to keep my ashtray closed and also would need more than 2 USB ports. not plugging things into that area.
i instead stuck a power unit on the side of the console in the passengers footwell area and hardwired it into the power under the ashtray.
it has USB A ports I then added an adapter for also having USB C ports.
2 of the USB A are permanently used, 1 for my speedo HUD and one for my phone charging cradle.
