Default X300 Windshield Washer Fixed

The windshield washer on my 1995 X300 had stopped pumping and I was very reluctant to spend $120 for a new pump.
The internals were apparently seized and I squirted a bit of oil into it and after rapping it on the workbench a few times, the pump started to rattle.
When I installed it, however, the pump was pumping but nothing was squirting. I examined the check valve- it is located on the hose at the firewall. This had failed and would not allow washer fluid to pass. This valve is $9 at the dealer.
All is well now, I wonder if the dead check valve caused the pump to fail too?
I'm new to the world of Jaguars and am encouraged that some of the issues that the car had when I purchased it are fixable and often (like the non-operational radio and steering column tilt on my car) are fixable at no cost.

Gregg,

Welcome to the world of Jaguar.

Good fix, makes perfect sense to me.

Since you are NEW, slide on up to the "new member" area and do what they ask, it just keeps the top end of the system all warm and fuzzy, if you know what I mean??.

Enjoy our company, and the car.
