Well my son acquired this non running '96 model xj6 and it won't fire up. I've done the basics.
Yes there is fuel and when cracked off at fuel rail it comes out at a rate.
I've changed crank position sensor and still nothing - rev counter doesn't move when cranking, meddle drops a little when you first turn key but then sits at 0. I've also tried resetting the key fob using the boot and door open valet switch method. However I can't get it to lock or unlock on fob - will do on key. The battery is good. Is this an immobiliser problem?
I've swapped some relays about and they all looked good(not burnt etc) but not sure how to test them.
Car was driven to its location and then left for 6 months.
No spark - help!

Broken pin in black ECM plug!
With a bit of solder, short bit of cable and a connector we now have 12v to injectors and she fired up straight away!
Purrs lie the kitten she is.
