I purchased a used column for my 1996 XJ6 Hoping it would be a tight column with no play in it, but I was wrong, it was the same as the old one. After having the new one installed more problems came on, the central locking system went, had that repaired, and then the secuirty module went, now the module works, but no matetr which remote I try for it none of them seem to accept the code. Weather its the 315mhz, the 433 none of them will work! Now also, when I have my driver door open, I noticed a beeping sound coming from my column when the key isnt in the ignition, The local jag shop told me that that dining noise is telling me that the key is still in the ignition when it isnt. Could this be a reason for all my problems, why the remote wont accept my codes, if anyone knows anything please let me knmow, this is a very annoying problem, thank you!
