Welcome to the forum pacopupus,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X300 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.

In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Graham

Welcome to the forum. You charged the battery, but do you know for sure that it's good? You are going to need a multimeter to look for the problem. You should have around 12.5V at the battery if it's fully charged. Then have some one turn the key on and try to start while you watch the meter. If the voltage stays the same, you need to look further.
Does the red light for P show on the shift pattern? Try wiggling the gear shift and see if that helps. Next will be checking the main fuses that the pos. battery cable goes to, and after that the positive and ground connections in the engine bay.
You will need a wiring diagram but I don't think you can download until you have ten posts, so work on that.
