Yeah, the rear proportions seem ungainly. Not sure the X300 chassis and c pillar area lends itself to this treatment. It actually reminds me a bit of the Toyota Camry wagon, which also looks very strange in proportion and "rear heavy". The Camry and this don't look the same, but this treatment gives me same impression though.

the XJ40 wagon is close but the angle of the tops of the back doors and the waistline still make it look like it was an afterthought I.E. somebody made it and it wasn't jaguar
