01 vdp, no start issue
Recently had a chain job done on vehicle. Car ran great for about 1 mon. and then one day it cranked, but it was rough running and would not rev up. Turned car off, cranked, did the same. Happened for 3 cranks, then it started, like nothing had every happened. About 2 weeks later, get in car, wouldn't crank, just spin, and spinning freely, like it wasn't catching, and did this for 4 times, then finally it cranked and ran, like nothing ever happened. About 2 wks. go by, cranks and runs rough for 2 times and no rev, then cranks like nothing happened. Then low an behold, another 2 wks go by, get in the car, and spinning freely, this time it wouldn't catch at all. We have went through most all the suggestions on this site, leading to a possible fuel pump issue, can't hear pump running in tank. My questions are, would you have gas at the fuel rail if the fuel pump is bad? (I have fuel at fuel rail)
Where is the inertia switch on this vehicle? Didn't have all the manuels with the vehicle when I purchased it. If I reset the inertia switch, and still nothing, will it mess up something, having reset this switch? Do you think I should try the 3 hr., neg. cable off battery, to reset also? thanks in advance, and if anyone may have a solution, please let me know. I have no codes, as it's parked in my driveway.
Some notes to consider: prev. owner's daughter, for about 6 months, used reg. unleaded gas in it. It also had a P0456 code, shortly after the chains were replaced, which is I believe is a very small leak in evaporation emission. Figured it had something to do with the chain job, just never had a chance to get it back to the shop before this happened. I have owned the car for 8 mths, used only prem. gas, and I drive it daily to work, which is about 2 miles from home.

You have fuel at the rail? How much? Did you connect the pressure gage to verify, or just by looking?
Sounds to me like a definite fuel delivery issue. Starting from the fuel pump and filter, to TB, I'd check it all (including the electrical).
