My brother's '03 Jaguar XJ8 has a rear door that is stuck closed. It will NOT unlock, open from the inside or outside. Is there a way to get this door open without destroying the seat, door panel, etc?

My guess is that I'll have to get the door open then replace the latch?

 

same thing happened to ours.

took it to a body shopand they opened it from the inside.
they took the rear seat out then the inside door panel off.

charged me $50.00

the lock actuator solenoid was the problem. find the ford equivalent to save mucho bucks.
i think i paid $60.00 for ours.

I was able to get the door panel off, without pulling the back seat (although I was prepared to remove it). I then found that actuator stuck and got one from a junk yard for about $14.
