Reading some of the posts on here about removing the upper and in particular the lower ball joints seem to be a chore and worth the $1,000.00 quoted to fix at a shop. I am only posting this to see what people who have actually done this on 1998 XJ8 Vanden Plas have to say about the job. I really dont want to pay the money if I can do it myself and I am trying not to remove the arms from the car otherwise I will just get new wishbones if I have to remove totally.
