1998 wiper motor - unique?
I have a dead wiper motor in a '98.
It seems only the '98 has this style, with 6 wires and the motor hidden behind the cover.
I looked at several parts cars, and they all have the usual exposed motor and 4 wire plug.
Jaguar's own web site shows the 1998 style in the picture, but only lists 1 part number for all years. What the heck?
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
Any ideas how to find a motor, or have it rebuilt?
Thanks,
Rob

Try searching here... Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market ...remember these are scrap yards, so the price listed is negotiable.
As far as a rebuild, any descent electronics place should be able to rebuild it. Check with an auto repair place as to where it gets its alternators and starters rebuilt. They should be able to do it unless that's all they do.
I did a quick search in .ca ..ey, I don't know if they are reputable but this is what came up... https://www.autopartsway.ca/category...ld-wiper-motor

Thank you both.
Funny, I didn't see any reference to the early/late part numbers, only one number was shown.
I did find a 1996 XJ12, and got a working wiper motor.
Mr. Stojanovic: I see you have a '99VDP SC, so do I! Cool,
Thanks much!
