Can you get the 4.0 xj8 valve cover gaskets from amazon?

 

If you need to replace the cam cover gaskets I would recommend Jagbits or SNG Barratt both forum sponsors. You might be able to get some after market brands but if they are knowledgeable of the differences in the Jaguar engines you may very well end up with mismatched parts for your application. If you have done an amazon search and got no results then if digging deep on amazon will be a crapshoot.

 

I'll second the SNG recommendation. For some reason my 99 has two different colored valve cover gaskets and apparently there's some subtle changes in the spark plug sealing gaskets as well.
I don't remember the price at SNG being out of line with others who didn't give me a warm feeling that they had the correct parts.

 

In my personal experience, I won't use any aftermarket gaskets as I've had them begin to leak after a short time. The gaskets and spark plug boss seals change depending on VIN, so have the VIN available whilst ordering parts.

 

You can get MAHLE Original VS50397 Gasket from Amazon. Im using them in my car but honestly its not high quality but its work fine no leaks until now. get the oem if you can some say the fel pro gasket is better. I used fel pro in my other car the material way better than the mahle but i dont know if their jaguar valve cover gasket is that high quality.
