Default 2002 XJ8 Valve Cover Set

Would anyone be able to point me in direction of the correct valve cover set for a 2002 XJ8? It looks like I need the two valve cover gaskets, 8 spark plug seals, 24 bolt isolator seals. Anything else? I would like to find a complete set if it is available.

I have seen the Felpro set VS50724R that fits even though it is for a Ford 3.9L. Does this set really work?

Thanks for the help.

Yes it does. We used the Ford Felpro set on our 2001 XJ8 last November.
Purchased from Rock Auto Parts website - 2002 Lincoln LS 3.9L V8, Fel-Pro VS5074R,
$36.79 less discount $1.84, plus shipping $8.44, total was $43.34.

PermaDry®; Includes Left & Right Side
w/Grommets & Spark plug tube seals; PermaDry® molded rubber gskts. incl.

Correct torque for the cam covers ois 8Nm....whatever that is in Inch pounds ;o)
You will also notice that for later engines the plug seals are seperate and both left and right cam cover seals are grey....not like the ealier kits where the left cam cover seal was orange and plug seals were co-joined in pairs.

Hi
I created the following PDF file (a very large one page file) from the JTIS procedures on Installing the Valve Covers (large images for webpage viewing):

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ywcmwju4nb...all%20Info.pdf

I tried to make it a JPEG file, but it appears to be a problem with poor image display in that format.

Here is a Print version of the PDF file (4 pages versus the 1 Page info file)- download it and use landscape mode when you print it:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sgr3mrwczn...ll%20Print.pdf

Note that JTIS shows valve cover torque range is 9NM-11NM.

I used the diagrams for LH valve cover (the information on them is the same for the RH valve cover).

There are torque values included for the other components involved in the install.
