Default 1999 Vanden Plas Low Oil Pressure

My 1999 VDP (114, 000 miles) was flashing "low oil Pressure" on the display intermittently, and the "oil light" illuminated. There were no abnormal sounds or any detectible running problems. No DTC codes were stored other than P1000 (no CEL). I changed the oil pressure sensor, and now the text display is constant. Still no DTC codes or sounds. What is the most logical path? Replace oil pump? Is there a possibility its really an ECU problem? I have only a generic OBDII bluetooth reader used with the "TORQUE" app. Any thoughts and ideas appreciated. Also, perhaps a ballpark figure for oil pump replacement costs.

There is an OIL PRESSURE SWITCH and an OIL TEMP SENSOR on the AJ27. (both located above the oil filter)

Did you replace the correct one?
Ground the SWITCH wire and see if the indicator is 'happy'.

I replaced the single wire "sensor" that has, I believe a 10mm thread into the oil sump immediately above and anterior to the oil filter. If there is another component that affects the ECU output of "low oil pressure", I would appreciate the information. Also, I have not threaded a pressure gauge into that same port, but should I elect to do so what should be the normal Idle pressure reading and say at 2000 rpm's? Thanks so much for the help. Also, is the oil pump located behind the timing gear, tensioners, etc., meaning that those components have to be removed in order to replace the pump?

Would someone happen to have the Harbor Freight stock number or name of the oil pressure kit mentioned in some of the threads about "oil pressure". I did a search for what I thought were relevant words and got no answers. I live about an hour from my nearest H F store so would like a little info before I set out.

I always just order HF stuff ONLINE. They charge something like $7.99 no matter what I order. (might charge more for for a rollaway toolbox or large compressor?)
I ordered 20 plastic ammo boxes to keep tie-down straps and tools for my truck and trailer and the two large cardboard boxes were shipped for $7.99.

The oil pressure kits usually have M10 x 1.00 adapters?
