1999 xj8. Dead battery can't start

1999 xj8. Dead battery can't start

My 99 xj8 is dead. I can't get in the trunk to jump it. What do I do?

Jumping

Jump it from the engine compartment. Or attach the jump battery to the appropriate positive terminal and ground in the engine compartment long enough to open the trunk. Then connect directly to the battery.

Do not jump it from the engine compartment. But is the car locked and you can't open the hood?

Insert key in trunk lock .. turn .. trunk open

This is why there is a mechanical lock barrel.
