jaguar classic parts show the C2C3 one as the most recent one, but as NLA.

The second part is the fuel pump strainer that attaches onto the fuel pump inside the gas tank.

I just bought an acdelco fuel filter off RA, along with a denso pump and strainer kit. Don't expect any issues from either, though looking online the OEM fuel filter looks to be about the same cost as an aftermarket one.

Hi yeldogt,

Can you give me any documentation of GM/ACDelco as the OEM of the X308 oil filters? I'd like to add this to my list of Jaguar OEMs if it can be documented. So far the oil filter OEMs I've confirmed for Ford-era Jaguars include Mann, Valeo, Filtrauto, and possibly Mahle. Any documentation you can point me to would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Don

Will have to ask my independent. When the car was diagnosed as needing fuel pumps. I ordered the parts from Jaguar -- including the fuel filter.

My independent had the car on the lift when I dropped the parts off -- he mentioned that the filter was a common GM part. Thought very odd -- sure enough I looked up .. GM/ Delco. This is a car I purchased new -- never replaced unless dealer did it for some reason under warranty -- I have no record of it being done.

Jag did use "off the shelf parts" when they could. Not huge surprise for a common part. Have been a life long Jaguar owner -- but the fuel filter is not an often replaced part .. my memory is not that good!

GM was the surprise .. was thinking it should be Ford .. but Jaguar had a long history with GM .. the transmissions in the earlier cars being GM units .. they used GM Europe for some other parts.

So it was the fuel filter that is a GM part rather than the oil filter? That would make more sense to me.
