Any ideas why my "Check Rear Lights" error message displays when right turn signal is on & the brake pedal is pushed. This has been happening intermittently but regularly with my 2000 VDP-SC for the last few months.

I'm back to the jag dealer next week.

Bad bulbs or loose bulbs in their sockets or wiring harness problem at the trunk hinge?

 

Check the bulbs if some have a silver base and others a brass base, the resistance difference is enough to cause a fault. Buy a box of new bulbs of the exact same
brand and the problem will likely go away. Sparkenzap is correct on additional
possibilities.
