i have a 2000 xj8 and the lights was going dim so i changed the battery thinkin this would fix my problem ....it did not so i had my alternator checked at 3 different shops all the tests came back good my car is still messing up and i dont know what else to do .....when i turn the key all i hear is a click not several clicks just ONE ...the starter wouldnt cause my car to do this would it any help would be greatly appreciated

No ...i was having to jump the battery to get it to start
