2001 XJ8 THERMOSTAT HOUSING CAP, Help!!

I need to know how to fix this problem since it's having a water leek in the cap.

If it's plastic the best thing I found so far is to replace it with the aluminum version.

Replacement plastic cap was $8 at my local Jaguar Dealership torque to 9nm (80in. lb) if I recall
