2001 xj8 VDP, 0171 k 0174 codes
New here. Read that these errors are likely vacuum leaks. Keep looking for leaks but can't find it. Seems to be intermittent too. Car doesn't stumble when revved in park only under load.
I've done the following:
Cleaned the MAS
Checked and no cracks in intake tube to throttle body
Reseated seal from intake to throttle body
Fixed leaks in breather hose and cleaned out small orifice at connection to valve cover
Reseated all spark plugs
Does this model have the imt o ring issue I've read elsewhere? Or brake line o-ring seal issue?
Other suggestions?
Frustrating that I can't find it....appreciate any help

To troubleshoot, you really need a scanner that can chart LTFT and STFT fuel trims. That way you see the values in real time before the codes set. Apparently, no amount of cleaning will fix some MAFS. I have replaced to of mine.
As you have correctly surmised, you have too much air, but that can also mean too little fuel. I would say you are throwing time and money at it until you get a way to see fuel trims.
