I was out driving one day meet a friend shut the car off went to start it 15mins later, just cranks wont start not even on starting fluid. I have verified its getting good spark has good fuel pressure. So i tried to start it again and same exact problem Pulled the spark plugs again and all 8 of them were soaked in fuel so i put it back together tried starting it with starting fluid and the gas peddle all the way to the floor so no fuel could get to the cylinders. Still same problem but it would try a little harder to start when i did that tho. The ecm is not thoing any codes. First post just lookin for a little help.Thanks

 

With so much unburnt fuel in the cylinders you may be in a bore wash condition at this point

The way to resolve the bore wash is to hold the pedal to the floor and crank it over

The ECM knows to shut off the fuel and this will relubricate the cylinders

But I see you have already done that

The next level would be to remove the spark plugs and pour a bit of oil in each cylinder and let it soak overnight while you recharge the battery

It's going to smoke , smoke alot but you will no longer have any mosquitoes around

 

ok ya i think ur on to somthing there i cranked the engine over a for a while with the gas to the floor and it seem to do a lot better it still could not get it to start. But its acting like its got bad gas which would make sense being that it has sat for close to a year now

The fuel could have been degraded by water getting into it through the fill cap and rain / snow not draining out of the fill well

The little plastic screen pops straight out and you can run something down the drain line

As to the fuel in the tank I was able to siphon mine out ( 1 / 4 inch X 6 foot hose ) but this was on a earlier inline 6 engine X300

Otherwise you have to pump it out by removing a fuel filter line wilt the fuel pump relay jumpered

The fuel filter line has a small O - ring

You can fish around in a glass recycle bin and find a wonderful and cheap assortment of large glass jugs , ask me how I know

In the end as the fuel bump runs the fuel pressure regulator will bypass a certain amount return back into the tank so this would mix the different fuels and never having an issue with a slug of water in the lower fuel feed lines

But before addressing the fuel in the tank an easier try would be to put some oil in the cylinders and turn the engine over to work the oil into the area of interest

This with the fuel pump relay removed

The current fuel may be good enough for a successful light off and carry on forward
