I had my battery drain over the summer (down to 2V) and now the cluster is lit up like a Christmas Tree and every fault is scrolling on the screen! I replaced it with a known good cluster and that one is working fine. Problem is, my car only has 56K on it, while the working cluster shows 106K. Does anyone have a recommendation on getting the original cluster fixed or changing the odometer on the new one to match the car? I'm in the U.S.

 

I take it a hard reset did nothing to right the original cluster?

 

No, tried it.

 

It did not. Tried it with Positive cable on and also off the terminal. I was getting P1638 code also with the old cluster, and no codes with the new (used) one.

 

Somewhere in the TSB’s is one pertaining to soldering on the circuit board. You might want to try and repair yours so you can get the mileage back. Sorry, I don’t have anymore information on fixing it but, it’s a start.

 

i was gonna get a mileage correction done for a vanquish that was giving a 1638 and can shut down but the problem fixed itself


florida speedometer might be able to help you out these things are pretty easy to tamper with as far as i know
