Whose instrument cluster died? Am I the only "lucky" S owner?

It seems a lot of us have the same issue …
1)xJ8 2000..only 57,000 Km
car won’t get out of park….so replaced shifter unit .. didn’t work
thought it might be a bad solenoid on shifter you could reset it then you can put it in any gear but not on Park
2) instrument cluster lights up but the needles were still so bought a used one and still not movement …
Mine I don’t think is a bad instrument cluster …
