I’ve decided to part ways with my beloved 2003 Jaguar Super V8. As I prepare for the sale, I need to confirm a few specific details about the car, and I’m hoping some of you well-informed gentlemen might be able to help:

• How many Super V8s were produced between 1999 and 2003? (I’ve heard around 789 — can anyone confirm?)
  
• How many were built in 2003, the final year?
  
• How many are still registered in the U.S.?
  
• How many came in silver with a black interior?
  
• Was mine among the last built?
  
• And where can I obtain a copy of the original window sticker?

I know — it’s a lot of questions. But selling this car isn’t easy for me, and even more challenging is pricing it fairly. As a reference, I’ve only found two recent sales:

• A 2002 sold for $18K (plus BaT fees) with 77,000 miles
  
• A 2001 sold in 2024 for $31K (plus BaT fees) with just 37,000 miles
  

Mine is a 2003 with only 52,xxx miles — and like all my cars, it’s in immaculate condition with full service records from new.

Beautiful car. I can't answer all the questions but I believe the final VIN for the x308 line was 59525. my vehicle, made in July 2002, was 58507. I've seen model production numbers somewhere but not sure where.

 

There is a Jaguar Heritage site in the UK that might be able to help. How many are still on the road: best of luck!

Yours, like Eliot's, must have been one of the last off the line: mine was finished in May 2002 (a 2003 US market base model): F56714. Looking brand new, inside and out, with 73000 miles, worth maybe $2500. Doubt, a Super V8 is worth ten times that. But in LA, who knows . .
