Default 2003 4.2L w/ 5 spd???

Strange anomaly.

Did some 2003 4.2L cars leave the factory with the 5 spd. trans.?

Howdy Folks:
The rest looks like a 2003 to me and I think that is a 2003 VIN #.

Perhaps a little tell tell sign on the ground on the right side under the rear of the door.
That is were mine started.

That is a 4.2 engine (and VIN as was stated earlier). Dreadful looking engine bay too. There was no 4.2 ever paired to a 5spd, so something is amiss.

What says the yellow light on the dash is there because of a trans fault due to having the wrong linear switch module installed?
