Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone had advice on replacing a burnt positive cable that's located under the bonnet. I am not really mechanically inclined so, any help would be apprieciated. This was recommended by my local dealer to correct a starting issue. Battery charge is good, just wont turn over.

Thanks for the reply. It appears to be the cable that runs from the boot up to the pos cable post(?) under the bonnet. I was quoted $600.00.

 

If you measure the lenght of that cable, any car audio shop can make for you a good quality and thick cable. They use oxigen free copper cables, that could be better than the factory one, and way cheaper.

My starter even runs faster since I installed one more thick ground cable between the battery and the body in the trunk. I connected it to the ground screw next to the factory main ground point screw.
