Hey guys,

So I went to my lot this evening, and decided to drive the 98 XJ8 home.

So I get in the car and start it, go to lower the driver window, and it goes down about 2" and stops. No odd noises or anything just dead. Wont go the rest of the way down or come back up.

So then, I try the other windows from the driver master switch. Nothing nada zip zero.

I try a couple windows from the other switches on the door, up and down fine. I get home, put the key in the door and hold it in the lock position, and the drivers window goes back up... phew.

So then I start the car again, and this time I try the passenger window from the driver master switch. And it does the same thing as the driver side, down two inches and then stops responding. Global closing with the key closed it again. The other 3 windows seem to work perfectly fine from their respective door switch windows.

Last time I drove this car on Saturday the windows worked fine... Did the master switch die? Did I pop a fuse or something? I'm confused....

It's 45 degrees and raining at home. So I'm just glad I got it to close, and I don't have the inclination to mess with it this evening. But any advise of what to look for / check would be greatly appreciated.
