They are held by velcro, but OK if you leave them in place and don't R&R too often.

Vector, let me know how this is working for you. I started thinking about this since I currently hold the detail spray, ect in the strap on the right hand side of the trunk. I think one of the books with documentation and all are supposed to go there; correct?
I'd love to see a picture if you can get the chance!

Yes, that is where the books are supposed to go, but they usually mildew in the trunk so most of us leave them in the house. Going to be a valuable part of the car one day if it goes like the Ferrari tools and manuals!
Will post some pics when I get the nets installed. I am putting two in the Jag and two in my F car, tired of the detailing stuff rolling around back there when I am having fun.

I drilled a 5/32 hole in the corners of the removable covers, two in the spare tire cover, and two in the battery cover, and screwed in the "double hook" fittings. I attach the rear loops of the cargo net to the double hooks, and then when I carry anything I can stretch the cargo net over the items and attach the rear loops to the rear double hooks. I even attached two "retaining hooks" to the trunk lid, so that if I have a lot of stuff, the net is held out of the way until it is needed to drape over the items. Works like a charm, doesn't interfere with normal use, doesn't affect the operation of the tire or battery covers, was cheap ($16 bucks) and can be removed completely at any time.

That won't work for my set-up as I have sub woofer box back there.
