Default Advice on timing chain tensioner

I have just purchased a 2000 VDP, 82000 miles and following advice from this forum have removed the cover to take a look at the tensioner. I'd be grateful for any comments on the attached photos - is this the dreaded plastic tensioner.

Nope, that's the new style metal one. Look at my first post under "Tensioner, my turn" you can see what the old plastic style looks like. I just got mine back together today and its running great. Kind of scary, waiting for something to go wrong.

Many thanks Hflavell for you comment. I thought it may have been the correct one but was not sure because of the orange plastic parts that abut the chain.
