well it happened again, when i got home the fan went on high speed after turning the car off and i noticed it right away...it was a very cool day in miami so i thought something was up...i went for a drive later that night and it went high temp, needle up to high with the red LED lite...first time ever...i did notice it right away, pulled over and let the car cool down...for those of you following the thread know i just had a lower mileage engine put in...so i am a little pissed...i am guessing it is the thermostat my mechanic replaced to fix this issue i had when i started the thread...he told me jaguar oem is crap and used a different one but now it appears that one is stuck...so basically coolant level is fine as i checked that and it was full and very pressurized when i cracked it open while the car was hot, the hose before the thermostat was less hot than the hose after the thermostat when i touched them while the car was overheated so it seems pretty obvious to me it is the thermostat being stuck, but i will let you know as i am swapping out what i had in there with an OEM thermonstat i got from britishparts.co.uk...i am also worried there could be something floating around in my cooling system? like part of the water pump impeller coming off...will let you know what happens when i change the thermostat
