Any idea why?
Hi gyes,
Had yesterday a broken hose, from the expansion tank to the connecting pipe, and as i was loosing little water, and had the message "engine coolant low" ,i send the car with the recovery to Jaguar service, which is thanks God very closed to me, around 10 miles.
Went there today to pick it up, and to my surprise, the reception told me that they also changed the throttle body, for free!!
Please concider, that i changed at the same service last year, the throttle body ,on my request, as i wasn't 100% happy, and payed lot of money for that job.( $1.000)And never had any problem with that, since then.
Now, when i asked why, gye told me that they recieved some VIN numbers from Jaguar central UK, to replace the throttle bodies, with this updated version!! I diden"t believe him of caurse, as Jaguar is charging even to make handshake with you, at least here. He was not very informative, anyway.Or seem not to know.
Does any one of you gyes ,know, or hert anything about this ,that Jaguar changes for free, throttle bodies? Since i changed it last year, i never had any problem, and car is running fantastic. Then why they changed it, and for ..free?

Any number of reason like the manufacturer built to incorrect spec on certain vins, or problem in those vin ranges. I would actually see if you can get a refund since you may have been experiencing the problem that prompted the replacements
