Hi. After a bursted oilhose coming unbeneath the crankshaft right above the oiltank, i discovered that the pipes coming from the oiltank are a little loose- is that normal?
question number two- what are they for?
The bursted hose was stripped around the cooler.

What oil tank? You mean the sump? Thr hoses at the front should be tight and are for the oil cooler, assuming you have an XJR/Super V8...

Thanks for your replies.
Yes, the sump. Sorry. Was a Little stressed early in the morning.
Ok. The car: Strange things has happened to it;-) Not mine yet, but it hit something on the road, leaving the cooler damaged but working. A mark on the sump and a broken hose which was wrapped around the cooler body and strapped with cable ties when I had a look at it. Went to a Lokal store to buy a new hose. Got it back on but with some question marks? Was it originally like that?
Does anyone have a picture of the front compartment?
New Guy on a new car;-)
