So I was gonna replace one of my blown KYB front shocks (KG5783) with a new one, but none of the area Advanced Auto Parts store had them in stock for this weekend, and since I'm gonna have to order one and wait anyways I got on eBya and found this pair of APX shocks that actually uses KYB5783 part# as a reference... Has anyone used these shocks? I'm kinda tempted especially since a pair of these cost the same as one KYB shock.... But then again, you get what you pay for, right....?

 

I would replace shocks in pairs. The other one is probably worn or on the way out.
Go for Bilstein which will last for 100+K miles and then can be rebuilt. The cheaper, less durable ones, are false economy.

I had a pair of KYB's installed back in Nov 2010. One of them popped at the begining of this month. Was gonna replace just one. BTW, I don't need shocks that will last 100k. My car wont go that far... 155k now...
