I think member ericjansen is versed w/ these Arden kits, I'm sure he'll chime in if he sees this. I bet you're amped up w/ the beast in paint/body work mode lol.

First, I have no practical experience with Arden, as I fitted a Japanese Glanz kit.
However, from my rather extensive research before I bought the kit, I have never seen anyone struggling with the Arden kit (and so it should be considering the original prices of them).
Then I am further puzzled by your picture, as it looks like the lip is a left and right side half, did you cut it?
All I can think about is that you either have a badly repaired Arden lip, or that you have a Chinese knock-off in hand.
I still see the last still popping up from time to time on the Japanese shopping sites.
Finally, if it was a direct fit, I should install it on the front bumper while off the car, but in this case, I should do all fitting while the bumper is on the car.
There is quite some flex in the bumper, and it should be disappointing if after all hard work, the lip still does not line up once everything is installed.
Not much help I am afraid (but as it is all plastics, it should be relative simple to make it fit, one way or an other).
