Hi all,

I would really like some advice and links please to people think are the ideal upgrade for my 2000 XJR speakers, I have been looking but im getting some what confused.
I want to replace the door speakers front and back, I have the premium alpine system but after 20 years some of the speakers do not seem all that great anymore, I cant use the subwoofer on the shelf as it sounds terrible. so I would also like to upgrade the tweeters in the pillars and the 6x9 sub on the shelf.

Can I ask do all 4 door speakers have to be mid range?
What size are the pillar tweeters?
Im in the uk so could you guys please some some links and details for recommendations for straight swap out speakers, ive heard Rockford Fosgate punch 165 6.5" but looking them up I find a few types so im not sure which one to order and they all come with 1" tweeters but ive read that the x308 has 1.5" tweeters, are there any other brands out there that are worth getting.

Rockford Fosgate P165 6.5's are stellar @ a fair price point.

 

I used focal polyglass. Sound better than the alpines did. Love to find out how you go with the subwoofer

I did upgrade the A-pillars with some Aline R- tweeters and that was noticable, though a bit bright.
