Default correct seat belt dye

Here in Boston its summer at last and my near mint 2003 XJR (x308) is out of winter storage and roaming the roads once again ! It's exterior is Anthracite with the charcoal interior.
Each year I try to do a project to improve the car and this years challenge is somewhat faded by sun seat belt color. I'm posting to see if any of my fellow Jag perfectionists have ever restored the color and appearance of seat belts in their cars. Any help with the following questions would as always be greatly appreciated :

1. What is the correct seat belt color for the anthracite interior? It looks to me like in the non faded areas to be somewhere between a black and a dark grey ??
2. I'm thinking ( after some reading) to go with a nylon dye found at fabric stores. The question again is what color to select? I suspect that the final dry color will be somewhat different than the selected color ie black gets somewhat lighter and becomes more of a lighter shade towards charcoal? Anyone here seen this?
3 My plan is to NOT remove seat belts but rather extend them fully and apply the dye in the faded areas...Comments?

Again my thanks to you Jag "pros" out there that may have the experience on this that I lack. many thanks for replies.
Ron

You may be better off dying the entire visible surface area of the belt, doing just the faded spots will likely not be a uniform match.

I would contact a seatbelt restoration service and see what they would recommend.

Trim code for the belt is LEG warm charcoal. I replaced the webbing on mine with a very dark - almost black - grey. I'm sure there are shops that offer this service.

Has anyone replaced the seat belt material themselves? If so, have you been able to find a match to the color (or colour)?

By the way - here are the correct colors and codes for each interior:
Model - Interior - Seatbelt
XJ8 - Oatmeal - Oatmeal (AGD)
XJ8 - Ivory - Sable (AEK)
XJ8 - Cashmere - Sable (AEK)
XJR -W Charcoal - W Charcoal (LEG)
XJR - Ivory - W Charcoal (LEG)
XJR- Nimbus Grey - Nimbus Grey (LFG)
XJR - Oatmeal - Oatmeal (AGD)
